Anyone that would like to make donations is welcome to do so. Cash awards can be given to seniors meeting whatever requirements that you would like to attach to your donation. You may also make a general donation, and the scholarship committee will select deserving students.
If you prefer not to give a monetary donation, gift cards and items that students will need for dorm life are also appreciated. Some examples are small refrigerators, small microwave ovens, XL twin sheets, towels, cleaning supplies, power strips, USB drives, surge protectors, etc.
If you are networking with anyone capable of supplying computers and or printers, that would be a tremendous gift for deserving students.
This is an exceptional class. As graduates of WWHS, you would be proud of them. For the first time in many years, young men are ranked numbered one through four (1-4) in the class. Three will be attending Rutgers University. Two are accepted into the Honors Program. The other young man will be attending Rowan University. There are two additional males in the top ten. For those of us that know the statistics and stereotypes of young men from Camden, it is an accomplishment for us to be proud of.
I look forward to any support that can be offered at this late date. Next year looks just as promising, but it appears that the ladies will reclaim top honors. You are welcome to join us as volunteers for a career speaker, provide networking contacts to establish internships, and mentor students. You always have a home at WWHS.
Thank you for your time. Don't forget to pass the word!
Ms. Yvette Pruitt
